A Moustache…. part 3

So for her 3rd wall I wanted something simple, yet elegant, and girlie, to balance off the “moustache power on the Moustache wall. so once again I did a 2 foot grid around her cute arched window wall.

Moms Iphone 378 I just painted a little turquoise diamond on each of these marks, Super simple and easy.

Then I painted little swirls to conect each of the diamonds, I freehanded all of this because I wanted it to look hand painted and not like wall paper. I wanted it to be soft and hard to notice, and I think I got just that. a super feminine delicate wall to balance out the crazy Moustaches..

Then just because I am nuts for chevron we painted her ceiling fan with yellow and turquoise chevron… stay tune for the grand reveal!

A Moustache, A Princess, and a White Board pt 2

K last time I showed you the Moustache wall, this time I am going to show you our White Board wall. When Baby Mermaid said she wanted a big white board, I started looking into buying just a cheep white board when my husband called me from work and said that they replaced a white board at work and he had gotten the old one for free! I was like yes! I will be right there, when I got there it was to big to fit in my Journey.. so we strapped the sucker to the top and I drove slowly home. But needless to say it was to big for her room. DH cut it down to a cute shape, I panted a boarder on the wall instead of trying to frame it, and I think it turned out super cute.

DH says the key to cutting a white board with a jig saw is a super fine blade, and move through it very slowly…

A Moustache, A Princess, and a White Board.

Ok once again I have been gone for a long time! I have had a lot going on, we are getting ready for a wedding. Yep bookworm is going to be a Mrs. in just under a month. but I have been working on some cool stuff. and just living life!

When I asked Baby Mermaid what she wanted in her room it was polkadots. but instead of polka dots moustaches. So left with that description and the color theme of Teal, Yellow and gray. this is what I came up with.

Moms Iphone 354We Started with gray walls that match the rest of our house, and then started making moustaches in yellow, two feet apart on what we are going to call our Moustache wall

As you can see we picked out a few of our favorite moustaches and I made stencils of them, Weird that they don't sell moustache stencils I know right?

Then I did the same thing but only with our “teal” color, don’t adjust your computer screens, I know its Turquoise… We matched it to the quilt she got for Christmas.

And that's the beginning of our Moustache, princess artist room!
