tied pigtails

These are so simple, I really should have just done a video to show you but with baby Mermaids Touretts it stresses her out and then we have crazy jumping coughing etc..so here are step by step pictures!

Section out the very front piece of hair and have your darling assistant hold it,

Then take the same piece from the other side, hair and st patrics 795
and hook it to the piece from the other side where you want your pigtail to start

Then I took two more pieces from right behind the first and hooked them together on the left side of her head going under the first pigtail,

Then I continued but only took a piece from the opposite side of the pigtail hooking it to the pigtail with an elastic, hair and st patrics 815

Double Dutch with an extra braid, and some Turkey Tails!

So, I don't have good step by steps, because I really just started out with the plan to do a double Dutch and turkey tails but half way down the first braid I decided to take a braid across, so I just stopped and took out a little piece, and then continued down the braid, then when I got to the other side, I braided halfway down and added the braid, I am sure you can figure it outDSC_0964 DSC_0965
Then I just made the turkey tails by looping the braids under, chi’d the ends, and fluffed them out by back combing them a titch.DSC_0966  DSC_0968
And your done, do you want some cheese with your Hair?DSC_0969
you got it! LOL
Happy Hair,

We started with this hair do for Sunday. however I didn’t love it her hair is still a bit to short, but when she got up Monday for school her hair looked like this!

Grown up Puffy braid

We are fighting the frizies that come with cold dry Utah air, so that means lots of pulled back hair days, and I loved the way this turned out Its really simple and understated, and we just put in simple ribbons when we were done.
tempest birthday and pumpkins 012I just parted her hair off center and pulled one side into a low pony, I had already given her hair a little curl on the bottom with my chi

Baby Mermaid's Swim Hair

We have swim lessons for our 2 youngest kids this week! So you know what that means! Swim Hair! I think that if I am paying that much for lessons, I don't want them to worry about their hair in the eyes flipping hair around etc. so get ready for a couple of posts on braids messy buns and updo's.
I did three dutch braids back and forth across her head

Then I pulled the rest of her hair up into pigtails and then messy bun loops

I really wish I would have made big bows to go swimming with! then I could tell what kid was mine from across the pool, but I haven't yet! LOL only I would want swim bows but y'all know me!

braids and pigtails......shocking!

So here is a braided hairdo again its braids and pigtails...... shocking I know!

So I put the hair in pigtails except for the front part which I braids from center to side.

then I wrapped each braid under the pigtail on the side that the braid is located and hooked it into the opposite pigtail with an elastic
Added some bows cause you know that's what I do!
And there ya have it a really easy 10 minute do with just a touch of spice!
