Half a Knot and curls

Little Princess wanted her hair curly and pulled back to show off her new “glasses” so I just did this super easy do..

I just pulled back the bangs, got out the topsy tail and wrapped her elastic with hair,

Then I pulled out the curling Iron (yep I kinda went back to the Iron for this one not the chi) and curled her hair super quick, and your done!

I just braided her hair back into princess hair.

Then I flipped the braid forward and took a section of hair from the back, and tied it in the first part of a knot

Then I put the Braid and then tied of the rest of the knot

And your done!

Bun and Tuck

Here is Little Princess, she wanted a bun and I have to admit I didn’t want to do one but this is how it turned out!

I pulled her hair back into a high pony with just the top layer and then pulled it through,

 

Then I pulled the rest of the hair into a pony and did a pin curl bun, easy as pie

and your done! I didn't even get a front view! sorry gals  you will just have to imagine how cute she looked on her way out the door! She had a super cute I won mom did my hair how I wanted smile and I was pretty happy about that to!

knots into a Hairband

I love to say Hairband, it reminds me of my days in the 80’s with the big rock and roll hair do’s ahhhh back when puffy hair was cool, any how, here is Baby mermaids do for today, this is a second day do, day one we just wore the knots, if you don’t remember how to do the rolled knots the link is provided, I gooped in tonz of pomade and they stayed really well, so day two I just pulled them to kind of tighten them up and then went on from there!

Here she is with here eyes closed of course, I just pulled the ends from the knots and hooked them with an elastic under her hair! More pics of the hair    Here you can see her ends hooked under! easy and cute!

Stacked double knots, and a bonus do to!

On Too Cool for hair we did this wicked cool double knot pony tail, we just made one low pony tied a knot to cover the elastic with a topsy tail and then did one more pony and tied a knot again, she said she had tonz of people at school asking how to do it and she didn’t even know what I had done back there! kind of funny I thought!

and the little princess did her own hair and came up with this I told her I would post it cause I love the hair accessory with this one!

it is just a simple twist with a ostrich feather puff on the side but I love the way it balances each other out!

Braided Bun

For today’s hair do we did a dutch braid that followed To Cool for Hairs Head around the side, starting in the front middle,

Because her hair is so heavy and thick I put it into a pony at the base of her head and then braided that pony down.

Then we just tied her hair into a knot and secured it with bobby pins, It looked very sophisticated in a understated way and was a hit at church,

Little rolled knots headband (day 2)

So yesterday we did the little rolled knots into piggies http://chic-clipshair.blogspot.com/2009/06/little-rolled-knots-into-pigtails.html and today I was lazy and the knots still looked ok so this is what we did, we sprayed her hair with detangler to get rid of the pigtail bumps, then pulled the knots tails like this and put elastics on them to hold them together Then we pulled the tails down under her hair and elasticed (my family says their is no such word as elasticed so I guess i should say I put an elastic in) it their tight!

combed out the rest of her hair and now she can go play with no hair in her face all day!

We did this hairdo for the day, I have to admit I was sick of braids but who can just do pigtails and leave it alone? not me, We wore this to the library and got so many complements! thanks everyone! K here I parted out her hair into pigtails but I left out a long rectangle across the top

Pulled the hair into lower pigtails, they are not all the way down by her ears.

Next I rubbed pomade into her hair (just the rectangle)
Then I sectioned out a piece of hair and split it in half,

twisted each side toward each other. this makes it easier for me to tie the knot

Then cross it just like you would to start tying your shoes

This is where it differs from your standard shoe tie knot, instead of tucking it under once, tuck it under twice

Then pull it tight, as you can see they loosen up a little bit when you let go

Here are all of my knots done and I have tightened them up just a little bit, by holding them out like that then i hooked all of those ends into the pigtail with a second elastic!

knotty ponytail

The little Princess wanted something easy and so did I because we had been cleaning my desk all moring, so this is what we came up with! we made 5 little ponys across the front of her head and then we used the Topsy tail to pull them through to make little knots


Then we started on the second row making our parts in between the other row (so they are offset) then splitting the tails from the other row hooking them into a pony, to "weave" the hair into the second row.

Then we pulled the back part into a pony

Now we took 1/2 of the tails and hooked them with elastic 1/2 way back to the pony.

Then we took all the tails and hooked them into the pony with a second elastic!

and you are done! (after adding a bow)
