Grown up Puffy braid

We are fighting the frizies that come with cold dry Utah air, so that means lots of pulled back hair days, and I loved the way this turned out Its really simple and understated, and we just put in simple ribbons when we were done.
tempest birthday and pumpkins 012I just parted her hair off center and pulled one side into a low pony, I had already given her hair a little curl on the bottom with my chi

But we made it and we didn’t die! and only a little blood was shed! but before we get to that I will show you the hairdo that I did on Too Cool for Hair!

My Dreams come true!

Hi all you out there in hair land. It has been a dream of mine for quite some time to own a chi hair straightener. Well, I found a place in our local classified adds (K.S.L.) for all you locals out there. This girl was selling new chi's in the box for 40.00. I am sure they are off the back of a truck some where but this is how the deal went down. I called this girl, She set up a meeting place. So I go with my kids (and DH) to the back of this Karate studio to wait, I call and pull in and she comes to my car with the chi, I pass her the cash out the window and she gives me my ultra cool straightener! I felt like I should have blind folded my kids or something. I kept joking that it felt like I was buying drugs or something..... anyhow I now have my coolieo tool and I LOVE IT! as you all can tell from most of my pics, my girls have tonz of hair and I have twice that much! I always joke that I am really an amazon bush woman at heart! but this baby cuts threw my hair with ease! Here are some pics as we were getting ready for a fourth of July party!
for baby Mermaid I just flipped her hair (with the chi) I also did a quick little puffy braid across the front to keep her hair out of her eyes! my husband now understands why I wanted this so bad! He was like you curl with a straightener? I was like yes! that's one of the reasons I have been bugging you for this for years!

the back of the flip

This one was the show stopper! I don't like all the attention she got when she wore her hair like this but it was very pretty! We put red white and blue hair bling in for the holiday in all the girls hair but It really stands out in hers! and the curls....Need I say more?

Her hair is really hard to curl, but she slept on this the next day we pulled it into a pony and it still had nice wave! impressed!

Short hair punky piggies

We wanted something a little punk rock for Little Princess today, and I have to admit I took this hairdo off of Disney's Ice Princess, The mean girl that skates had ratted out pigtails, and I thought that we would try it! Little Princesses hair is so short that we sectioned the back into four sections Then we pulled them into puffy braids

Then we pulled the puffy braids into the pigges and kinda ratted them a bit just to make them way full, then we smoothed down the tops so they looked cute
Added some cute punk bows that you can find on Chic-clips and your done! this of course would work on longer hair also, its just harder to find do's for your short haired girlies!

pigtails with a little puffy braid

We are back to work and almost back to school so we are pulling out our quick do's with a touch of sass do's cause every baby Mermaid has to be a little bit sassy! (mine is)
We just did basic pigtails with a center part up to her bangs and then a puffy braid in her bangs parted on the side! then pulled the puffy braid back into the pigtails
Here is a pic of the top of her head
with bows and baby Mermaid cheese
top with bows! and your done!

Puffy pig tails

Here is a fun easy swim hairdo.. or just a quick before school do, I am sure you have seen it everywhere but it is a staple at our house. We are using the little princess as our model today!
I parted the hair from the ears forward and then split that into pigtails! I used black elastics today so it would blend with her hair

Then I took a middle section and hooked the top into the elastic and then I put all the hair into a low pigtail

Then Just repeat on the other side

And then you have one silly princess!
