Quickie tucked braids

So, I just wanted to try these tucked braids, and Honestly I love the way real braids look and they are quicker for me… so I am going to be sticking with braids, but everyone at school thought that these were pretty cool
 077
So I pulled her hair into two Pigtails
 078
And put elastics down every inch and a half
 079
Then I seperated each section in half
 080
And flipped the hair through!
081
continue down the pigtail and do each side.
 082 083
go get dressed Little Mermaid it is time for school!

First Day of School 2013

DSC_0002
So First off I sectioned the hair into three little sections and one big one running horizontal down her head the biggest one on the bottom and hooked them up with a clip

Then I Dutch Braided the two middle sections one going from left to right the other opposite

Next I hooked both the braids under her hair with an Elastic to make a headband

Then I did the Easy Waterfall technique to pull back the front section, but this time I went through Both braids

combed out the ends and we ended up with this! I thought I got a front view inside, but I could only find this one outside in the wind!

Mom’s Sunday Hair of Doom

sumer 2013 402So I usually wash my hair on Saturday night and let it dry overnight, today however I washed and dried my hair before church (sunday morning) and it……is not a good thing as you can tell by my hideous picture! so I thought I would try a bun on myself LOL here goes!sumer 2013 403I pulled up the top “bangs” portion of my hair sumer 2013 404Pulled everything else into a pony sumer 2013 405And then tucked the pony threw itself to make a little bit of a knot
  sumer 2013 407  sumer 2013 409 sumer 2013 410
Then I wrapped the pony around my fingers and secured to the bottom most part of my hair with bobby pins, I guess you could use hair pins…I never triedsumer 2013 412
so you end up with this
 sumer 2013 413
Next I took my bangs and twisted them into loose ropes…  sumer 2013 415 sumer 2013 416
Tied the ropes together and pinned…

and managed to make my hair less nasty in a matter of minutes! yah! its always great to go from a bad hairday to an OK one in 10 minutes!

Ok so todays do was super easy if you have a Topsy tail, remember you can pick these up for super cheap on Ebay!
2013-04-30 spring activitys 0012013-04-30 spring activitys 002
After your normal Dutch Braid you just stick your topsy tail all the way up under your braid and pull the a tail of your french braid up under the braid,

Now Baby Mermaids hair is super long so the tail stuck up out of the top of her braid, so we went up just a bit and stuck the topsy tail down this time under the braid

and pulled the hair all the way down and under, I didn’t get a side view but this stayed in super good all day no bobby pins and a ruff day of play at school, it would be great for the beach or the pool!
